— Preventing obesity and other diet related diseases is the focus of a free health expo Saturday on Belle Isle.

The second annual “Celebrating a Healthier Detroit” Expo will feature a variety of health screenings, seminars and exhibits at Belle Isle’s Athletic Field. Organizers are inviting Metro Detroit families to learn more about health conditions including asthma, heart disease and depression.

The day’s festivities include the Detroit Pistons who will bring the team’s last championship trophy for participants to take photos with free of charge.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
